I've received a gift voucher, what do I do?
Contact me well in advance of when you think you'd like the session! I am usually booked up at least 4-6 weeks ahead so it's good to make contact nice and early.
Can we have the photo session on a weekend?
Yes, this is the best time for shoots because it's family time and both parents can be there!
What's your availability?
Drop me a note and I will be in touch :) I also aim to update my availability on Facebook - please visit my page via the links tab and 'like' me to stay in the know. This also means you'll be the first to know about last minute availability since I do occasionally have to rearrange shoots for one reason or another. Alternatively, please contact me for details. Remember my lovely gift vouchers are available year round for last minute present ideas!
I'd like to buy a session as a gift for a friend, can you help?
Yes! A baby photography session makes a very beautiful and lasting gift, and it's something a little different to give the parents at a very special time. I will make you up a personalised gift letter and voucher in a pack for you to give to them. For ultra last minute gifts, I can email you a gift letter to send electronically.
My baby has woken up with a cold, can I rearrange?
Absolutely, I aim to be as flexible as possible in terms of timings. We won't get the best shots if your little one is feeling poorly, so I'd recommend rescheduling the shoot. If possible will open the date up to Facebook followers.
Help! My baby has scratched their cheek in the night, can you get rid of this?
Absolutely, as long as the scratch/spot isn't in too difficult an area then I can remove most minor imperfections in post production.
You use natural light, what happens if it's raining on the day of the shoot?
I use reflectors and very fast lenses so we'll still be able to get a great set of images. I will however call to check that you're happy to go ahead, because if you've got your heart set on some photographs outside or if it's a really dark day then it might be better to reschedule.
How long after the shoot can we see our images?
I know you'll be impatient to see your photographs so I'll do my very best to turn them around within 2-3 weeks (although this is not always possible to do at peak times). In the meantime, I will post a preview to my blog (see my links page).
When do we pay you?
The session fee must be paid either before or on the day of the shoot, a cheque or bank transfer will be fine.
How long do I have to make a decision on prints?
I know that it might be difficult task to choose your favourites from the session, so I allow plenty of time for this. Due to website capacity, client galleries will stay live for 6 weeks after which time reactivation of a gallery may incur a small charge.
Are we obliged to buy anything more?
Not at all, you can buy as many or as few prints and products as you like.
We love your work but live further afield, do you travel?
In general I cover areas within an hours drive. If you live much further away than this then I will happily come to you, but this will incur an additional charge.
What about Xmas 2011?
Photographs make amazing gifts, and I would advise booking in early if you know you want prints or other products in time for Christmas presents. Ideally these shoots should take place in October or early November at the latest to give you enough time to choose you images and still guarantee Christmas delivery.
