Tips for a Great Shoot
My style is relaxed and informal, because I want to capture photographs which sum up your little one's personality! However, here are a few handy hints that will ensure a fantastic set of photographs...
Baby Photography
Plain or block colours look best in the background of both colour and black and white photographs because too much print can be distracting - just something to bear in mind when choosing what to wear. I have lots of lovely blankets, furry rugs and baby hats that I will bring along for us to work with to bring texture into the images. If you have knitted blankets that are special to you because they've been given as gifts then even better!
Child Photography
The most important thing is for them to be comfortable in what they're wearing and for it to be fun! Bright colours and bold patterns such as spots and stripes are great. Have a choice of clothes and accessories available so we can get some variation into your images. Hats, gloves, scarves, wellies, umbrellas.... anything goes. They're all good fun and enhance the personality of the shot.
