A simple guide to how my family photography pricing works
I do get a fair amount of questions about prices so I think it’s worthy of an FAQ post to explain how it works in simple English. Please note the following excludes my maternity offer.
Parenthood is busy and complicated enough, especially if you have a newborn at home. I like to keep my pricing as simple as possible for you.
And this is as follows:
FLAT RATE SESSION FEE + COLLECTION PRICE
Several years ago I realised that 95% of the families that I work with bought the digital images. And the ones that didn't want the digital images, weren't always my ideal clients.
So I decided only to offer collections which gives me the freedom to approach every shoot in a storytelling manner, and don't limit what I shoot. It results in a beautiful collection of images for you.
Here's the lowdown on what's included in each element:
SESSION FEE
This covers for my time and talent on the day of the shoot itself and my time spent editing and in travelling to and from your home/the location. It doesn’t include any digital images or photography products.
It's a flat fee with no weekend premium and is the same whether we are shooting newborn, baby or family photographs.
The only things that may incur an additional charge are extended family members joining the shoot or a travel distance in excess of 40 mins (which I’ll flag in advance)
COLLECTIONS
Once the shoot has taken place and you’ve had your preview slideshow and main gallery, you’ll be free to peruse your images and star your favourite shots.
Collections are carefully curated to provide you with the digitals for prosperity but also with something tangible such as mounted prints, a framed storyboard or a fine art album so that you can start to enjoy your photographs immediately.
Most clients invest between £900-£2000 on their photography experience with me but smaller digital collections are available from £450 depending on the number of images chosen.
