Moving to new pastures {Dorset baby & family photographer}
It's been a while since I updated my blog for Stories, and as I've recently moved from Surrey to Dorset, I thought I would start by saying hello and telling you a little more about who I am and what I do.
I'm Lucy and I'm a family photographer based in Wareham but offering family and baby photography sessions across the whole of Dorset. I grew up in Purbeck so moving back has been a return to my old stomping ground, albeit now with a husband, son and two businesses in tow!
When I added Dorset to my vision board in 2019, I didn’t know how it would play out, but I just knew it would become clear when the time was right and I’m grateful that something positive and unexpected came out of the chaos.
So as I begin the unenviable task of establishing my business in a whole new area, I thought I'd start by sharing my approach to baby and family photography.
I work with discerning families who appreciate a no-nonsense baby and family photography and value timeless, heartfelt images in their own surroundings. What does this mean in practice though?
By this I mean no props, which I feel will date your images in 20 years time.
No artificial staging or white backdrops, the stage is your home or mother nature’s playground.
No forced posing, just playful or quiet moments of being.
I make no apologies that my natural approach to baby and family photography means I won't be the right choice for everyone...but if you’re in the no-nonsense tribe as well, just complete my contact form and I will happily explain more about my sessions and see if we might be a good fit for one another (with absolutely no expectation on my part!)
